A clear shopping list makes a Christmas roofline project easier to price and assemble. Start with your measurements and the exact component specifications, whether you are planning a Toronto home or a commercial display elsewhere in Canada or the United States.
Choose the bulb style first
Compare C7 and C9 LED bulbs by style, colour and the base specified on the listing. Faceted and filament styles create different visual effects. Use the product photographs to compare appearance, then check the specifications before choosing wire.
Match the socket wire
Your bulb base must match the socket. Compare the socket size, spacing and length on the socket-wire listing. A product category or similar-looking connector is not proof of compatibility.
Measure each run separately
Record each roofline segment, the route to power and any breaks in the display. Keep measurements separate so you can choose suitable lengths and pack quantities. Do not use a rough total length as an electrical loading calculation; follow the ratings and instructions for your exact components.
Choose mounting accessories
Check the mounting surface, bulb or socket fit and clip profile. Compare clips and shingle tabs rather than assuming one clip works everywhere.
